The Space
Located in Coldstream in the Yarra Valley, this former aircraft hangar sits on a working family farm, offering a distinctive combination of rustic architecture, agricultural character and open rural surroundings.
Originally used to house a Tiger Moth aircraft, the hangar is now a versatile, open-plan space with a blank canvas layout. Its generous interior can accommodate styled photography sets, furniture, product displays and production equipment, making it suitable for fashion and lifestyle campaigns, bridal editorials, brand content and filming. Festoon lighting inside and outside adds warmth, while tables and chairs are available for styling, preparation or crew use.
The surrounding outdoor areas offer additional shooting possibilities, with farm tracks, paddocks and seasonal crops providing varied rural backdrops. Access to specific farm areas is arranged in advance and depends on seasonal conditions and farm operations.
Practical amenities include power, water, separate bathroom facilities and on-site parking. The undercover hangar provides an alternative setting when outdoor conditions change, allowing creative teams to capture multiple looks within one property. This is an active farm rather than a soundproof studio. Please discuss sound-recording requirements, equipment access and any particular outdoor backdrops before booking The Hangar.
