Private Home
Retro Villa Italia
Coburg, VIC, Australia
The Space
A triple fronted heritage home of Art Deco characteristics in the heart of Coburg, Melbourne (Naarm). Built in 1949 for the Rizzetti family by Architect Mr J Langdon. The home itself welcomes you through a terrazzo entry encased by curved glass & white wrought iron lacework. Featuring a rich colour palette of mottled browns, burnt orange and olive green, the home celebrates vibrancy with taste and respect. A beautiful retro-style space to bring photoshoots and campaigns to life.
The kitchen, a composition of patterned tiles and unique orange laminate joinery. The formal dining room adjoins the large living room with an art deco fireplace. Behind the main house exists a large backyard home to 50 year old citrus trees, a bungalow, a timber clad shed, more white wrought iron lacework and a cellar. The external concrete stair leads you to the concrete roof with views of Pentridge Prison's main entry. This historic home reflects the success of migrant families over the generations within the Coburg area. We wish to continue the tradition this home has offered for so many decades; celebrating family & community coming together.
