The Space
The cottage is a the perfect example of an early settlers homestead with most of the structure untouched and still in good condition. The inside consists of a kitchen and dining room, a living room with a large open fireplace and a bedroom with a loft. Original floorboards cut from the forest are worn and creaky but still in excellent condition. The space offers an atmospheric and rustic solution for creatives looking to shoot photography stills or for a filming location.
Throughout the cottage there are the original ceiling shingles cut from forest trees which provide a snapshot of early settler decor. Perched on a hill overlooking the valley and on to adjacent property farm, it is well protected from the wind and faces east west. The surrounding trees consist of English Elms, Hawthorns and of course Eucalyptus trees. Not far from the cottage is a vineyard. The property is located in the Macedon Ranges, close to Hanging Rock.
