Red Hill House
Fairlight, NSW, Australia
The Space
Redhill House is a modern family home built around a quintessential workers’ cottage, located in Fairlight NSW, with Sydney harbour and bushland nearby. Redhill House was built in 1910 and is one of the area's original cottages, it is a small cream, two-story timber cottage. Enter the house via a newly builtin verandah featuring Australian hardwood lining boards. The Master bedroom has been restored in a traditional style and features, antique stained glass windows, an original fireplace, and original lining boards. Perfect for lifestyle photoshoots and videos.
The rest of the original cottage opens out beyond a second historic fireplace to a large solid oak family dining table and open kitchen with intimate and inviting views through to the twin courtyard gardens at the rear of the property. There are three more small modern bedrooms upstairs, there are two modern bathrooms, and the one upstairs has a deep bath. Some other beautiful details of the house include a large Australian hardwood post in the middle of the main open-plan living area. Large blackbutt beans stained in black Japan, enclose large glass doors & windows at the rear of the house. A blackbutt panelled boot room opens onto a lush garden, surrounded by an Australian hardwood fence.
