The Space
This beautiful property sits on a grand estate that was first established in 1884. It was then most famously owned by Lebbus Hordern, the “Jay Gatsby” of the Hordern family fortune until 1929. With sprawling grounds of eleven acres, the venue can cater for a host of capabilities including events and weddings, or even a photoshoot and filming. It's located a 90 minute drive from Sydney.
This stunning avant-garde property offers timeless architecture, established gardens, precision shaped hedges and perfectly manicured lawns, make it an idyllic setting for weddings, events and location shoots. Other features include a classical facade, 70s-look swimming pool area, and entertainment area with pool table and refreshments bar.
The current custodians of Hopewood are Australian artist Tim Storrier and his wife Janet. Tim’s sculptures feature throughout the garden, which is maintained by Janet and a dedicated team of gardeners. Tim paints in his studio within The Pavilion building on the top of the hill, where he also has a private gallery.
