The space

Mountainside Wines is a full working micro winery in the southern Grampians at the base of Mt Cole. The property consist of a sandstone residence, cellar door, winery, three vineyards, and a converted shearing shed into a small cafe and function room. Also there is the Blue House B&B, that just won Gourmet Traveller Wine Best Cellar Door Accommodation 2021 for this region. The property is surrounded by the rolling hills of Mt Cole and Mount Langi Ghiran. The property is 100 acres of farm land, with numerous old sheds and two dams. The winery and cellar door are relative new , but the rest of the property is rustic. As well as the Blue House there is also another two bed room house called Shiraz cottage overlooking the larger of the vineyards. Mountainside Wines is 20 minutes east of Ararat and just two hours from Melbourne in a place called Warrak. Warrak has a CFA station and an old community hall.
